From Nuance Communications, the Dragon Medical AI Assistant uses smart speakers to help doctors edit records, fill prescriptions, look at patient charts and more, using just their voice. Nuance Communications has already developed AI assistants for big brands including American Airlines, FedEx, Ford and General Motors.
The Dragon Medical AI Assistant builds on the existing Dragon Medical speech to text dictation app and is capable of reaching over 150 electronic health record services. The smart speaker can interact with other medical professionals and is accessible via iOS and Android smartphone applications as well as Window PCs. The as of yet unnamed speaker will be sold directly to health care providers according to Nuance VP Peter Durlach.
