Doritos Make Your Own is as Hard as it Looks
Harris Jay Rosenberg Alterman — January 25, 2012 — Marketing
The Doritos Make Your Own entry for the Doritos Crash the Superbowl 2012 contest seems like a winner. Sadly, it was not selected and will not air during the Super Bowl; however, that doesn't mean that this advertisement isn't a gem of gems.
The commercial starring Byron Brown is an instructional video on how to make your own Doritos. The process is much more difficult than one would think as one must hunt down a unicorn and milk it for its tears. The final product is this scrumptious, cheesy snack, which can also be hard to replicate as often what comes out of the oven is gold coins (which is just terrible).
This recipe is only for highly experienced chefs who have studied the Doritos Make Your Own commercial hundreds of times and should not be attempted by any one who doesn't believe in magic.
