London-based fashion label Auroboros launched its inaugural collection at London Fashion Week in partnership with the Institute of Digital Fashion, introducing a new generation of digital ready-to-wear fashion. The first-of-its-kind digital ready-to-wear collection was showcased as part of the British Fashion Council’s DiscoveryLab initiative and it rendered 14 nature-inspired styles on a physical model.
Dubbed Biomimicry, the collection fuses elements of nature and technology to create sci-fi looks for the metaverse. The full collection will be available to purchase directly from Auroboros and for a limited time via DressX. The digital collection not only explores ownership and the future of luxury fashion in new ways, it also offers a look at sustainable innovation beyond the constraints of physical garments and manufacturing.
