My favorite brand, Diesel, has unveiled a collection of MySpace-inspired fashion ads for their Diesel Intimates line. The fashion photographs of the line of underwear and intimate sleepwear items are shot in the style of MySpace profile pictures.
There are the goofy poses such as the guy with his jeans down, the ‘I’m a gangster y’all’, the ‘trying to be sexy but ending up quite funny’ ones. The result is a collection of fun and engaging photos, rather than the usual stiff fashion ads.
I think it’s cool that Diesel is taking a lead from what’s cool and hot with its target demographic, which is young males and females.
