Student Demi Barnes Fashions Dress Made Out of Divorce Papers
Meghan Young — May 2, 2013 — Lifestyle
15-year-old Demi Barnes' wedding dress creation is incredibly cynical and equally poetic. Made up of 1,500 divorce papers--clearly not her own--her design comments on the ease of both these undertakings. Many people pull a Britney Spears or Kim Kardashian. They rush into marriage and then, 55 hours or 72 days later, end it just as quickly.
Demi Barnes obtained the divorce form that makes up her glamorous ballroom gown from the Internet. Printing and filling one out, she proceeded to photocopy the rest. Endearingly, Demi Barnes states, "I didn’t really know how to do it at first. It was quite a challenge." In all, it took her a total of ten hours to complete the dress. Since then, she has received a lot of attention.
