In a collaborative effort between superstore Target and DC Comics, these female-honoring actions figures called the 'DC Super Hero Girls' are set to be launched.
The idea behind these action figures is to shed more light on the powerful female heroes from the DC universe. Some of the action figures include Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. The DC Super Hero Girls are set to launch in stores in March, 2016.
In addition to the action figures, Target plans to create and produce clothing that features recognizable DC "logos, stars and empowering words like 'strong' and 'brave' as well." This female empowerment line aims to encourage young girls and women alike to be confident, disregard stereotypes and promote overall gender equality.
