Danio Diary is an app that was created by David Hunt and Anthony Wright, who saw a gap in the market for a platform that allows loved ones and doctors to receive real-time updates regarding a patient's status.
Wright was especially inspired to make a difference when his late mother was in between her nursing home and hospital all the time, which made him more aware of the lack of communication between healthcare providers that can be incredibly frustrating.
With Danio Diary however, users are able to create a care network, which prompts family members, caregivers, and healthcare providers to input updates so that everyone stays in the loop. In order to maintain the patient's privacy, all the data input into the app is encrypted, and can only be seen by those who have been given a specific code.
