Daily Dishonesty is a project by graphic illustrator Lauren Hom that depicts common little fibs that people utter to themselves to prevent them from feeling guilty.
Just like Hom’s skillful typography designs, these little white lies are often laced with good intentions and elaborate stories to convince people that they are reasonable. Using decorative typefaces and attractive backgrounds, Hom makes these fibs something that people are able to laugh at. Among her creations, are the statements: “These jeans will fit in a month," “Shopping counts as cardio” and “Calories don’t count on the weekend.”
The Daily Dishonesty drawings are able to be purchased as posters at Society6. They would make a cheeky gift, and are a treat to look at.
