Montreal-based architect and designer Henri Cleinge has renovated the historic Royal Bank building for the Crew Offices and Cafe, a joint space that includes private offices, office rentals, and a cafe. Though the old Royal Bank building, which was built in 1926, maintains its grand halls and ornate ceilings, the new Crew Offices and Cafe have added enclosures and furniture that reference the original purpose of the building.
The shared office spaces come with different degree of privacy, as some of the spaces are fully enclosed while others have glass walls. In either case, these space are all designed with brushed gold plating and faux-tellers' booths. The fully enclosed offices even vaguely resemble vaults (though people need not be concerned about getting locked in.)
