Richard Woods' Colorful Home Interior Expresses His Passions
Laura McQuarrie — October 21, 2014 — Eco
This colorful home interior by de Rijke Marsh Morgan Architects features a vibrant multi-colored floor that's perfectly suited to its resident and artist Richard Woods. Although the WoodBlock House was designed for Woods' family of four, many of the design details that went into the house specifically revolve around Woods' career as an artist. For example, it was important for the house to have a studio and an in-house printing workshop, in addition to an open yard to ensure ventilation.
The use of the colorful wood blocks is also carried through to the outside of the WoodBlock House, making it unmistakable as an artist's residence that's full of good design and character, even from the street.
