London-based 2LG Studio is known for its ability to curate incredibly whimsical interior aesthetics with personality and recently, the design firm unveiled a renovation project that testified to its ability to elegantly fuse form, function, and a welcoming color palette.
2LG Studio worked on a family home in Forest Hill, a "leafy residential area" in southeast London. The house features pastel-colored walls and ceilings, with playful elements that induce a sense of whimsy. The firm applied a color-block philosophy to the ceiling moldings, as well. Bespoke joinery and recycled materials draw in the eye by providing textural interest.
For the interior, 2LG Studio drew inspiration from various sources—color palettes of the 1980s, the intricacy of Italian design, and the paired-back elegance of Scandinavian influences.
