Dutch clothing brand SEA’SONS created the world's first color-changing hoodies and they take on entirely new looks based on the surrounding temperature. When warm, the heat-reactive micro-capsule technology causes the hoodie to become white and in a cold setting, it takes on a dark gray tone. Of course, during in-between stages, the color-changing designs are also aesthetically interesting since they appear like tie-dye styles.
The brand got its start in 2018 with a successful Kickstarter campaign, color-changing swim shorts and the hope to "develop more clothing that combines textile and technology in the future." Owner Tom van Dieren was inspired by a favorite childhood toy, Hot Wheels, and set out to create dynamic designs that could adapt to their environment.
