Liminal Studio helped the tourism operator RACT Destinations to deliver the Coastal Pavilions -- a group of nine new structures that offer luxurious yet affordable accommodations on the East coast of Tasmania. Acting as a point of difference to the 60 cabins that are already in place, the pavilions were designed to blend into the landscape's natural beauty.
The design was inspired by the fluid forms of the close-by bays and granite rock formations, paying homage to the national park that they were built into. Keeping the micro-climate in mind during its creation, the structures were built without disturbing any local habitats, forest or wildlife. Boasting the true heart of craftsmanship, each piece of the Coastal Pavilions was thought-out with a purpose, without lacking style or modernity.
