Christopher David White creates an impressive optical illusion with his 'Cycle of Decay' ceramic sculpture.
The art piece mimics a tree branch that has been carved to look like it is in the shape of an opened hand. Its intricate details including the knotted and twisted veins and tree texture as well as its coloring is so precise that it is hard to believe it is not made out of the organic material. A small brick facade with veins growing in it can also be seen in the middle of the palm of the hand. Regardless of which side you are looking at, there is no real giveaway to determine that it was made from ceramic.
The extremely impressive and intricate work of Christopher David White demonstrates that his true artistry and craftsmanship is worth praising.
