Homemade Feline Food

Joy the Baker's Chewy Cat Treats recipe celebrates the two years that the author has spent with her orange-hued pet. She begins the post with a humorous letter written to the feline where she describes the "Two years of sleeping at the foot of my bed...and attacking my feet at the slightest movement."

While Joy recognizes that she could have easily stepped into any grocery store for cat food, she took it upon herself to make these thin, healthy bites.

The Chewy Cat Treats are made with eggs, canned chicken or cat food, chopped parsley, olive oil and white or brown rice. Although totally edible for humans, she advises aspiring pet chefs to include a tablespoon or two of catnip for good measure.
