Vancouver's Zend Conscious Lounge might seem like just another vegan restaurant, but at its heart, it serves as a charity business, with all of its proceeds donated to charity.
After being diagnosed with Stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Steve Curtis made the switch to a vegan lifestyle and went in search of natural remedies around the world. While Curtis now runs a successful herbal remedy company Zag Global, he sees his restaurant as a way to give back the community.
