Just as cauliflower pizza crusts have become popular, Trader Joe’s is introducing Cauliflower Thins that can be used as substitutes for bread. The bread substitute comes together from a unique combination of ingredients, including shredded cauliflower that's baked with egg, Parmesan cheese and nutritional yeast, then formed into malleable sheets.
The bread alternatives can be used to make flavorful sandwiches and wraps without additional carbs. As Trader Joe's describes: "these Cauliflower Thins provide all the structure and texture of flatbread with a fraction of the carbs (only three grams of carbs per serving of two Thins, to be precise.)"
On their own, the Thins are said to have a savory cheese flavor that works well with a variety of fillings.
