New Balance Joins Bryant Giles on a 2002R Sneaker
New Balance works in collaboration with Bryant Giles on a new design of the 2002R sneaker model. Arriving just in time for the Spring season, the sportswear label taps the Los Angeles artist and designer to create a new iteration of the comfortable footwear.
The color palette is rooted in an olive green tonal palette at the base foundation of the shoe with slightly frayed details. It is then detailed further with touches of facial features in an embroidered design language accompanied by text that reads "What Now?" stitched at the heel as a nod to his recent work that launched in Miami. The N logo on the lateral side is applied like a velcro patch and the insoles are playful in design.
