The Brick Garden conjures up a vision that is quite opposite that of a traditional garden. In place of flourishing flowers and other plant life, the Brick Garden is, that's right, made up of bricks. Of course, it all makes sense once the company it was created for is revealed: Triangle Brick in Durham, North Carolina. Designed to showcase Triangle Brick’s product line, the Brick Garden is made up of spinning brick panels that allow customers to view the merchandise in daylight.
Created by architects Pearce Brinkley Cease + Lee, the Brick Garden recently received a 2012 Certificate of Recognition from the NC chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. It is a geometric space defined by a balanced composition of hedges, lawn and fixed and moveable walls.
