This creative bread packaging design by Julie Ferrieux serves a double duty—in addition to helping you get a loaf of bread home from the store safely, the sheath surrounding a portion of the bread can also be transformed into a birdhouse.
The birdhouse takes shape thanks to several small folds on the paper wrapper, which also happens to be printed with strategically-placed prints and patterns to indicate roofs, interiors and sides. This way, any crumbs that are collected from the bread bag can be fed to birds rather than tossed into the trash. A full set of instructions on how to assemble the birdhouse can be found on the reverse side of the paper wrapper, making it easy to assemble after it is no longer needed on the loaf of bread.
