The next time your child’s special day comes around, consider making them these birthday present surprise cookies.
These colorful sugar cookies are baked to look like small presents with a candy licorice that wraps around the package. Like every gift, there is a surprise hidden inside of the wrapping. Removing the colorful top lid reveals a circular hole filled with yummy goodies for a satisfying toothache.
Essentially, the birthday present surprise cookies are not that hard to make -- the task of making so many at a time, however, may be difficult. An ordinary sugar cookie recipe is used, along with food coloring to dye the dough. You stack the cookies on top of one another using white chocolate to hold them in place and carve circles into the last 2 or 3 pastries depending on how much candy you would like it to hold.
