Bushnell and ‘Field and Stream’ are now offering a $1 million reward for verifiable pictures of Bigfoot (or any other Sasquatch). Obviously the news of Bigfoot has been buzzing on the net, so it seems fitting that someone should leverage all the hype.
Earlier this week I wrote an article about Mythvertising, suggesting that Bigfoot and Chupacabra represent a massive opportunity for advertisers. The brands of these mythical beasts are extremely well known and nobody owns the trademark… So you can do pretty much anything with Bigfoot that you’d like!
With the exception of the first photo, this gallery consists of current contest entries in the Sasquatch photo challenge...
Bushnell has also opened up their category to pranksters, “BONUS CATEGORY: For all you jokers out there - we’re giving away an additional Bushnell Trail Scout Pro camera for your best attempt to cheat Bushnell out of their $1,000,000 prize. So go grab your gorilla suit and head to the nearest woodlot. Just don’t get mistaken for a bear*. *Please use caution when taking photographs outdoors and in the wild, especially when using suits or costumes that resemble wild animals (Gorilla, Sasquatch, or other).”
