This Bergaliv Landscape Hotel Building Peers Over Forest Treetops

The Bergaliv Landscape Hotel, a nature-focused hospitality outfit in Sweden, recently hired local architect Hanna Michelson to build a new getaway that highlights the environment as much as possible. Built in the center of a dense forest, the new Bergaliv Landscape Hotel building is raised up on stilts to give its inhabitants views over the tops of the surrounding trees.
Michelson's project, the first of four for the Bergaliv Landscape Hotel, is located in a forest towards the base of the Asberget mountains. So as to reduce its visual impact on the environment, the home is clad in raw timber, helping it to blend in with the forest.
The building is relatively sparse, with a single room that comprises the kitchen, a bedroom with two military cots built into the walls, and a small bathroom. Above this living space is another room designed solely for looking out at the mountains.
