Virtual Learning UK (VLUK) and Belong Gaming Arenas are launching an esports education program for gaming enthusiasts looking to earn a BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma. Three of Belong's gaming venues in Manchester, Birmingham, and Sutton will host the two-year esports program. The 13 units of the BTEC will include topics including esports event management, casting, and coaching.
The curriculum is intended for students in the 16–18 age range. The partnership between VLUK and Belong aims to immerse students in the esports world, equipping them with the tools necessary to pursue a full-time role in the industry upon graduation. Additionally, the three locations have been chosen to guarantee that students from all across the nation may participate.
