Michael Hemsworth — January 17, 2019 — Lifestyle
The increasing shift toward a low-alcohol or alcohol-free lifestyle amongst many consumers in the US is supporting new product lineups like the Bar Nøne sparkling drinks. Launched by the Coca-Cola Company via its Venturing & Emerging Brands department, the drinks are all inspired by classic bar flavors and are made without the use of any alcohol in the mix. The drinks contain between 70 and 130 calories each, and are sweetened with a blend of juices or cane sugar to make them a lower calorie option compared to traditional cocktails.
Bar Nøne General Manager Sabrina Tandon explained the new drinks when she said, "We talked about not wanting to drink as often, or as much, as we had before. We wanted something we could actually look forward to enjoying as much as an alcoholic drink – something sippable and savor-able.People are choosing not to drink for many different reasons. We’re not targeting a certain demographic, we’re targeting a mindset."
