Elving Design was handed the challenge of creating packaging for an entire line of food products for Axfood using only paper bags. Axfood wanted the bags to evoke a warm traditional feeling. Taking this to heart, Elving Designs crafted a series of wrappers accented with classic wallpaper patterns rendered in earthy hues.
This feeling of artisan tradition was heightened by the black and white graphics that were added to the bags to compliment the predominantly homey feel of the design. The photos featured handmade craftsmanship of each product. Obviously the products that were worked on in the photo were placed on the package responsible for housing said product. Thinking ahead, Elving Design determined that both the wallpaper designs and the photographs could be used for in-store displays, providing the brand with room to grow.
