This architectural island house is floating on river confronting the graceful, natural landscape located in Gapyunggun, Gyeounggi-do, Korea. The shape of the building allows it to blend-in with the surrounding mountains.
The architectural island house maximizes efficient land use. The courtyard, which is laid out along the irregular formed site line, is the center of the building and is filled with water and greenery. All the rooms inside the house have panoramic views of the picturesque landscape. Iroje Khm Architects made every effort to allow the building to seamlessly coexist with its surroundings.
