To get fans excited about the World Cup, Coca-Cola set up an AR soccer challenge within Zurich's main train station in Switzerland. Passersby were invited to play alongside a virtual version of Switzerland's Xherdan Shaqiri on-screen and even try their best to take a few shots against him.
After spending some time putting themselves in the shoes of a professional soccer player, commuters then had the opportunity to take a photo and capture their moment with Shaqiri. Optionally, people were able to enter their details for their chance to be put in the running to win a Fifa World Cup Official Match Ball.
While there have been many interactive soccer-themed activations created in the past to engage fans, this full-body augmented reality experience sets itself apart with its incredible realism.
