It's somewhat known that most comic book writers gather inspiration from ancient literature to write up stories for their comics. Oregon-based artist Nicholas Hyde has altered the look of popular Marvel and DC characters into ancient Greek art.
The rendered comic book characters encapsulates an art style that wouldn't necessarily be the sytle of art work that most comic book fans would recognize, but it manages to infuse modern-day renderings with ancient art illustrations very nicely. Similar to the ancient Greek artworks found today, the designs showcase an aged look that is prominent among the ancient art displays.
