Amazon recently rolled out a new feature called 'Amazon Collections,' which looks an awful lot like Pinterest.
Just like the online pinboard, Amazon Collections lets users collect lists of items they would like to purchase. When browsing the site, users can add a 'Collect' button to their bookmarks bar to easily grab items to add to their lists, a feature that is identical to Pinterest's "Pin It" button. As well, users can follow others with similar tastes.
This is a much more dynamic way to make image-rich wish lists and makes it easy for shoppers to visually curate just Amazon products without having to leave the website. Due to the success of Pinterest, it is no wonder that Amazon has modeled Collections so closely after it.
