Akiko Ida is a very talented Japanese artist that ran into his French love (and fellow artist) Javelle. They met while studying photography at the Paris “Arts Decoratifs†art school and have been in love with each other (and photography) ever since.
The gallery above features some of their photographs from their “Fruit and Vegetables†collection. The collection features handmade miniatures atop watermelons, mushrooms and kiwis making mundane day-to-day activities look extraordinary.
Implications - With more leisure time brought on by modern conveniences, consumers are now able to enjoy simple, tangible pleasures such as music or fine art. This prompts corporations to integrate an element of culture or abstract imagery into campaigns or products.
