The second Aesop Taipei location is a shrouded boutique tucked away in the hip neighborhood of Daan. The monochromatic boutique stocks the brand's entire range, including its skin, body and hair care products. The store does an excellent job of subtly reflecting the Taiwanese capital's multicultural makeup, while also staying true to the cult Australian skincare brand's retail concept.
As usual, Aesop partnered with a local design firm in CJ Studio, who helped reflect local culture with accents like the Chinese calligraphy gracing one wall. The store also features various Taiwanese plants both inside and outside and boasts the signature "chunky" sales counter and the sink in which shoppers can have products tested on them.
The memorable space is proof that the unisex skincare market is continuing to flourish.
