It's not enough to put an ad on the radio or a billboard off the highway anymore, and the purpose of the Adidas N30 Neo Robot is to tackle the company's target audience from a different angle, with a take-home bit of advertising.
With the goal of reaching a younger crowd, this marketing project involved the introduction of an endearing little android mascot that acts as a funny little figurine as well as a functional flash drive. The original USB trinket has a wholesome and boxy form, but designer Jared Nickerson strove to make the 2.0 version a little more controversial. The most up-to-date Adidas N30 Neo Robot takes on a much more complex shape, complete with quirky defective details and a menacing mechanical glare.
