Sports broadcasting giant ESPN collaborated with Brazilian artist and graphic designer Cristiano Siquiera—also known as CrisVector—to produce these vibrantly colored 2014 World Cup posters. Siquiera created the posters specifically for the upcoming World Cup. He created 32 posters in all—one for each of the 32 teams taking part in the World Cup. Eight of the posters have been released so far, with more expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Each 2014 World Cup poster depicts one or more star players of a particular national team. The Portugal poster shows Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo pointing at himself to claim a goal, Argentina superstar Lionel Messi wheeling away to celebrate a goal and Spain’s captain Iker Casillas lifting the 2010 World Cup trophy alongside teammates Xavi and Iniesta. Posters honoring the stars of the French, Italian, Belgian, Mexican and Ivorian teams have also been released.
