During the 2008 presidential election, we saw an unprecedented amount of political and pro-Obama clothing. Now that Barack Obama has been elected president, however, we’re still seeing Obama fashion on couture runways all over the world.
On February 1, Barack Obama’s face as interpreted by Shepard Fairey adorned a kaftan by Guillermo Mariotto at his Rome Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2009 show. This follows months after Jean-Charles de Castelbajac voiced his pro-Obama vote via runway in Paris.
