From Manually Powered Food Processors to Shake-Powered Portable Washers

These manual home appliances are suited for modern homeowners, but they are heavily inspired by designs that were first introduced long ago. However, these manual devices have contemporary designs that blend in seamlessly with other modern appliances.
Instead of just being able to execute something with the press of a button, these devices require some level of physical exertion, including things like cranking, pedaling or shaking. In addition to getting a good workout while doing things like laundry, charging up your phone, recording a home video or preparing dinner, these devices are especially great because they don't require electricity to operate. If you were to use these kinds of manually-powered devices on a regular basis, during a blackout you wouldn't have to freak out about trying to understand some kind of unfamiliar gadget either.
