From Charitable Toilet Papers to Symbolic Feminist Necklaces
Mishal Omar — June 24, 2017 — Eco
The June 2017 political trends reveal a variety of symbolic campaigns and products that seek to make a statement through both donating funds and sending important messages.
One such example is Antonio Battaglia's Trump Paper, a new toilet paper brand in Mexico that seeks to send a message about Battaglia's feelings about the American president, as well as donate some of its profits to the people that the U.S. has deported.
Another example of symbolic political products is the Shattered Glass Ceiling necklace offered by the Brooklyn-based company 'UncommonGoods.' The necklace has a large glass pendant with cracks in it, representing the symbolic glass ceiling that women must, and do, break in order to succeed in their personal and professional lives.
