From Melon Helmets to Liquor Filled Watermelons
Jonathon Brown — January 24, 2013 — Lifestyle
There are few foods that can compete with a juicy watermelon on a hot summer day. Made up mostly of water, the ruby red fruit is sweet and refreshing: the perfect snack to quench your thirst. But according to these juicy watermelon innovations, there's much more that can be done with the fruit than just snacking.
What would your friends say if you showed up with a watermelon helmet on one day? They might say you've lost your top, but as soon as you pull out the liquor filled watermelon they'll change their tune. For drinking purposes, watermelons are great at holding liquor. Just cutting a hold in the outside of the watermelon and filling it with liquor makes a wild party treat. Just be sure to let the melon sit in the fridge for a while after filling it with liquor to let it sink in.
