From Undead Sweet Treats to Freaky Female Desserts

Rather than going all out and making a grand Halloween dessert this season, these Halloween cake pop recipes offer just a little taste of something spooky.
These recipes include themes like witches, pumpkins, vampires and ghouls, as well as a few figures from pop culture that are associated with horror, such as the ones found in Miss Insomnia Tulip's series of Women in Horror cake pops. For something that's a little less scary in terms of looks, there are some great friendly jack-o-lanterns, ghosts and smiling candy corn faces that are perfect for kids. In terms of difficulty, preparing the base cake pop recipe is fairly simple, although the complexity comes in with the level of detail that is used to decorate each Halloween treat.
