Inspired by the release of the limited edition Caramel Apple-flavored Oreo cookies, Target asked expert cake pop creator Bakerella to come up with a Caramel Apple Cake Pop recipe.
Rather than a base of cake, this recipe makes use of the crumbled cookies mixed with cream cheese to form the cake pop balls. Then, to make the cake pops look like little candy apples themselves, this just involves dipping them in a green candy wafer followed by a layer of caramel. To make the Caramel Apple Cake Pops look even more authentic, Bakerella dresses them up with chunks of caramel and butterscotch candies or drizzles of chocolate to really make the treats look like miniature versions of food that you'd find at a fall fair.
