From Critter-Inspired Cabinets to Endangered Species Door Handles
Sarah Moore — May 6, 2012 — Art & Design
The furry critter-loving homeowner can add a bit of jungle flair to their abode with a collection of darling animal decor pieces sure to bring out their wild side.
Animal print has been a popular fabric choice for centuries, but there are a slew of sculptures, seating and lighting solutions that are taking this animal-infused design aesthetic to a new level. Rather than simply eluding to a beastly inspiration, it is becoming more common to see design elements that are boldly representative of the jungle and all of its inhabitants.
Rather than having a portrait of an element hanging on the wall, one can now take a load-off in a chair in the shape of the trunk-swinging creature. For fans of the more domesticated creatures out there, a sculpture or shoe rack in the shape of a puppy dog would be more appropriate.
