The Bonsai Kitty Plush, in addition to being a cuddly lovable cat toy that's been uncomfortably contorted to fit inside a clear jar, is actually a recreation of an old Internet meme. I was extremely surprised to learn this -- not so much because of it's blatant animal cruelty concerns, but more so because I had never heard of it until now.
The Bonsai Kitty Plush is essentially a PETA-friendly version of an Internet meme involving felines being stuffed into jars to take on cube-like features that would ultimately make the house companions look cuter. I think cats are fine without this modification.
Still, I have to admit that the Bonsai Kitty Plush is ludicrously adorable. The way it takes on the shape of a rectangular prism does make for some gimmicky good times.
