Elegant Egg-Shaped Chairs

The ‘Bangulella’ rocking chair demonstrates designer Charly Molinelli’s talent for producing sleek, modern concepts. In terms of appearance, the chair is ovular much like Arne Jacobsen’s famous Egg chair. There are few sharp edges or angles; instead, the design is realized through smooth, flowing curves. The color-scheme fuses matte dark grey and a glossy off-white to emphasize a distinctly futurist look.

Two sleigh-like legs suspend the seat of the chair above the ground, allowing it to glide back and forth. Viewed from certain angles, the furniture looks more like a vehicle one might find traversing icy arctic tundra or negotiating tricky mountain slopes. However one may interpret its look, most will agree this concept brings a fresh look to rocking chair designs.
