From Gory Pinatas to Animal Cracker Sculptures
Tisah Tucknott — July 30, 2009 — Art & Design
Sculptures can come in many different forms and sizes. Even the material used to make them can vary from scraps found on the street to the cheese we eat.
This cluster explores 100 sculptures, from peeing public statues to laughing rocks.
Implications - Though the art industry has always found its roots in unabashed self expression, today's designers are taking it a step further by incorporating truly bizarre elements into their work. This has a visible effect on an array of other industries, as couturiers, interior designers and even art directors at ad agencies follow suit. In today's market, the only way to truly capture attention is to go to extremes.
