Implications - Objects that are commonly perceived as "snobby" are seen as such because of their excessive extravagance. When something pricey exists solely for adornment without any function, it is seen as an unnecessary decadence; however, some consumers enjoy these products as they signify financial security. In today's society, money is synonymous with prestige, which is something consumers seek.
