2016 has been a year of impressive technological development, so much so that technology even permeates the 2016 seniors trends. Traditionally, seniors are far from the target demographic for new technological systems and devices, but there's no reason this has to be the case. If technology comes down to making people's lives easier, then it can benefit seniors as much as anyone else.
Much of the technology in the 2016 seniors trends is devoted specifically to health management. 'Lively Wearable' is a fitness tracker that recognizes the fitness needs of older people, and 'iBeat' is a smartwatch that also monitors one's heartbeat, making it ideal for people with pacemakers or heart problems. The senior demographic is growing rapidly, however, and our FREE 2017 Trend Report should make it clear that technology is only one domain for understanding the senior marketplace.
