Natural Material Studio Stuns with Floor-to-ceiling Biotextiles
Kalina N — June 13, 2023 — Art & Design
The Danish design practice Natural Material Studio recently unveiled the Human Nature exhibition which ran for the duration of 3 Days of Design, from June 7th until June 9th. Hosted by the Copenhagen Contemporary art gallery, the show highlighted some uniquely fabricated objects. Natural Material Studio produced lengthy floor-to-ceiling biotextiles and compostable biofoam seating arrangements. The materials for this exhibition, which span 150 square meters when laid out, are created using processes developed by the Danish studio. For the Human Nature exhibition, Natural Material Studio utilized "natural softeners mixed with biopolymers, chalk, and clay." The latter two were used as dyes.
