York Gin Grey Lady Pays Tribute to the Theatre Royal's Famous Ghost

York Gin Grey Lady was discontinued in 2023 after its Earl Grey tea supplier retired, but in 2024, the gin inspired by one of York’s most famous ghosts has made a triumphant return with a limited initial run. York Gin Grey Lady is a dry gin that gets its name from the Grey Lady of the Theatre Royal.

Distillates of Earl Grey tea, lemon and orange all go into making the signature London Dry gin, which sports a haunting blue-gray hue from the addition of butterfly pea flower post-distillation. York Gin says, "We have created a Grey Lady gin that, we think, is even better than the original."

There's a limit on how many bottles of York Gin Grey Lady customers can order, but based on demand, it may return to York Gin's permanent range once more.
