The Dita Von Teese 3D dress is the first of its kind to be debuted. The design was unveiled in New York at the Ace Hotel where viewers got to take in its customized tailored fit.
Standing behind this 3D piece are Michael Schmidt and Francis Bitoni, the former being tied to Lady Gaga's costumes and the latter to modern architecture. The two laid down the foundation for the apparel scheme via iPad's and Shapeways, a print company that specializes in the 3D variety.
Paired with its pop out features were 13,000 Swarovski crystals. In line with Von Teese's eccentric personality was its dramatic, dark color scheme as Swarovski opted for black jewels, a facet that Schmidt believes is aligned with her, "...old-world glamor."
