Ministry of Sound is celebrating its 30th birthday by taking people back in time with a voice-activated face filter for Snapchat that virtually takes users back in time. Snapchat users are taken back to a time in the club's history by speaking the decade they want to appear in. There's a filter that depicts flip phones for the 1990s, iPods of the 2000s and virtual reality headsets for 2010.
The voice-activated Snapchat filter was created with Sony Music UK's creative and strategy hub, 4th Floor Creative, and artificial intelligence start-up Anything World.
The celebrations are bolstered by a digital campaign that involves DJs and influencers who are promoting the filter on social media. Ministry of Sound is also reaching audiences in its physical space by signposting the Snapchat filter.
